IN we go.....71 steps down into the Earth....
The vibe on this one is going to be quite different than our usual "Shamanic Echo in the Caverns". We are setting this up to align with the quiet that arrives with Winter Solstice. During this time, the nights are longer than the days, and if you are dialed in, this relationship between darkness and light seems to pause for three days at Solstice. Then little by little the days grow longer as we head towards spring. It is a time to notice the available stillness, to slow down, to rest.
Instead, we have the quickening pace which we each scurry daily, our entanglement in the 'net, the demands of...well everyone and everything, the hurrying of holiday shopping......wouldn't it be nice to step out of the cyclone and breathe.......
So let's take a break together. Let's slow down. Let's feel the depth of Silence and Darkness. Oh Holy Night, deep in a cave.
We will begin the experience with my Sacred Priestess Sisters Jen Rabenstein and Sharon Owens-Kabatek, and I in the darkened cave. We will each have our crystal and metal singing bowls lit only by flickering candles. Each of us will orchestrate the circular sounds, taps rippling and echoing, and frequencies that create an energy that will center the mind, body and soul. We will then turn off our candles, sinking a bit deeper into the darkness. I will then offer a deep meditation, Amrit Yoga Nidra, also known as the Yoga of Sleep. This meditation will guide us all to our innermost, deepest level of relaxation and profound stillness. When we arrive at our deepest peace, I will turn off my light also, plunging us in to complete darkness and silence while we float in bliss. We will remain in this space, breathing deeply, letting our energy systems become nourished and recharged. After 30 mins, I will complete the meditation, bringing us back to our surface awareness. The candles will begin again to dance and glow, further illuminating our return journey. The singing bowls also begin again, delighting our awakened and cleared senses.
What to bring: We will be laying on the cave floor so bring a yoga mat, and maybe a cushioned mat for comfort. A plastic bag under if we've had rain it can get drippy in the cave. A small pillow and blanket would also increase comfort. You can bring a lawn chair, preferably one that will allow you to go flat, not a chair type. On the floor to soak up Earth energies is preferred. The cave is constant 52 degrees, which will feel sort of warm in the winter. No drinks are allowed in the cave.
Ascend from both the cave depth and your personal depth two hours later replenished and renewed. Notice the weaving of the unique group journey like nothing encountered before. Notice the stars in the sky and the chill in the air. Notice what you notice with your awareness centered and lightly pulsing with Stillness and Light.
