Who's ready to shimmy off the Winter Blues?! I will be hosting my annual Outdoor Shimmy into Spring Hafla this year (weather permitting) on Sunday April 23rd 2023. If it rains, we will simply move the party indoors. The hafla will take place in the grass and parking area behind the Senior Center. I will be featuring belly dance and health & wellness vendors, as well as tarot card readings, crystals, henna, and foot reflexology. We will also have a snack table, and live drumming by Bumbada Women Drummers before the performance, for anyone who wants to warm up with a shimmy! The hafla is free to attend and open to the public, so invite your friends! Please bring your own camping chairs to watch the performance

Event Schedule: 1:00pm-3:00pm shopping and socializing 2:00pm- Bumbada Drummers (bring your jingly hip scarves!) 3:00pm-? Belly Dance Performances

Performance Details: The Belly Dance performance will start at 3:00pm, following the drummers. Soloists will have 5mins., troupes will have 7mins. Dancers will perform on the smooth blacktop pavement area that is the entrance to the building (near the sliding glass doors), so please wear appropriate footwear. If you would like to perform, please email your music to: Hempcreations.minaya@gmail.com with your attached music in mp3 format, and your preferred dance/stage name for yourself or your group. Please submit your request no later than Monday March 27th.

Vendor Information: You may start setting up at 11:30am. The total event time is from 1:00pm-4:30pm (or whenever performances are finished). You will be setting up in the grass area next to the entrance of the senior center, like last year. You will have a 10×10 foot single space where you will need to provide your own table, chairs, and canopy (optional). Spots are $20. Pm me if interested. I am currently looking specifically for belly dance or wellness related vendors. If it rains and we have to move indoors, 6 foot round tables and chairs will be provided, so all you need to bring will be your items.
